Renouer avec sa filiation pour créer la sienne que l’on pensait impossible. La parentalité, qu’elle soit la reproduction d’un schéma ou le fruit d’un désir profond, questionne, bouleverse, donne le vertige. Sonam Larcin met en scène ici son parcours et ses cheminements dans son futur rôle de père. Être homosexuel l’amène à penser la nature du lien qu’il souhaite avoir avec son enfant. Par effet de résonance, il interroge le lien avec son propre père dans des discussions à cœur ouvert touchantes de sincérité et de simplicité, à l’image de sa réalisation.
Plus qu’un documentaire autobiographique, Ce qui nous lie nous rassemble autour d’un thème universel : celui de la famille, celle que l’on choisit. “Parce qu’il faut être deux pour faire trois. Et bien plus encore pour construire une société tolérante” (Cinergie.be).
